A bold, adaptable brand identity for an independent game studio with global ambitions – built around fun, creativity, and collaboration.

The Brief

Craft a refreshed brand identity that reflects Prism Studio’s playful, creative culture while positioning them as a credible, future-facing game studio with global ambitions. The identity needed to be flexible enough to adapt across multiple game genres, support publishing ambitions, and grow with the studio as it expands.

The Work

Prism Studio is an independent game development company focused on creating unforgettable gaming experiences through bold ideas, immersive worlds, and player-first design. With a mission to bring the fun back into video games, the Prism team are driven by a desire to recapture the joy and creativity that made so many people fall in love with games in the first place, putting fun and community at the heart of every experience.

From the start, the logo was a critical piece of the puzzle. It needed to work across multiple game genres – from fast-paced arena combat to sci-fi worlds and narrative-driven experiences – and resonate with a Gen Z and Millennial audience raised on bold visuals, strong opinions, and instantly recognisable brands. Drawing inspiration from teenage engineering, skate culture, music, and retro aesthetics, we worked closely with the Prism team to create a logo mark with attitude.

To do this, we used the name Prism itself as our conceptual anchor. Just as a prism refracts light into a spectrum of colours, Prism Studio takes raw ideas and transforms them into fully realised gaming experiences through collaboration. To reflect this, we created a custom geometric form designed to symbolise connection, shared ideas, and creative energy – a mark that can be animated, split apart, rebuilt, and remixed to suit different games and future sub-brands.

Paired with a bold, boxy typeface and a vibrant, adaptable colour system, the identity hits the right balance between dynamic, expressive, and strong. Giving Prism Studio a distinctive, scalable brand identity that’s ready to level up alongside their ambitions.
