Set up in 2007, FinanceMalta is a non-profit public-private initiative with a mission to promote Malta as an international business and financial centre, both locally and abroad.
The Brief
They approached us to develop a distinct visual identity for their annual conference, something that felt related to their core brand but could confidently stand on its own.
The Work
The challenge lay in striking the right balance, honouring FinanceMalta’s established identity while crafting a fresh, independent presence for its annual conference. We began by anchoring the work in their existing brand framework, then carefully expanded its reach.
We designed a new logo system tailored specifically for the conference, creating space for a unique identity within FinanceMalta. A refined typographic hierarchy and vibrant new colour palette followed, giving us the foundation for a distinctive look and feel.
Central to the visual identity was a modular brand pattern—a flexible yet cohesive design element that allowed for consistent application across all touchpoints. This visual system simplified execution across both digital and physical formats, supporting everything from on-screen presentations to signage, delegate badges, and beyond.
But we didn’t stop at design. We also developed a new digital platform for the event, an engaging and intuitive web portal that reflected the new brand and provided a modern user experience for attendees. With every element built to scale, the site ensures the annual conference now has a digital home as bold and future-focused as the brand itself.
As part of the wider collaboration, BRND WGN also supported the planning and execution of the conference itself, working with the team to bring the identity to life across media channels and the event experience.
