BELS is a language school with decades of credibility. Our rebrand honoured its heritage while giving it a bold new look—fresh, vibrant and ready for what’s next.
The Brief
Our task was to rebrand BELS, a well-known language school, without losing what makes it special. The aim was to show how the school has grown into a modern, high-quality place for learning - one that connects with everyone from young professionals and university students to families and lifelong learners - all while celebrating culture, connection, and the joy of learning around the world.
The Work
This rebrand wasn’t about starting from scratch. With decades of credibility behind them, BELS needed a refreshed identity that stayed true to their reputation while matching their bold ambitions for the future. The result? An evolution, not a reinvention.
We started by keeping the essence of the original logo - its type layout and typographic rhythm - so it still felt like BELS to those who knew it well. From there, we gave it a fresh edge. A refined typeface, multiple logo orientations, and a striking new emblem that introduced a cleaner, more contemporary feel, without losing the brand’s character.
The updated colour palette introduced a broader range of tones, balancing sophistication with approachability. That new vibrancy carried through to a visual style that’s confident, dynamic, and designed to connect with a global audience - from younger learners to long-time students alike.
The new design system extended across every touchpoint: from brand guidelines and brochures to merchandise, email signatures, and social media templates - each strengthening BELS’ position as a trusted leader in English language education.
