BRND WGN Christmas gifts have become a staple that both clients and Wagoneers look forward to. At the end of such a year we wanted to acknowledge the rollercoaster 2020 was, while keeping that touch of positive cheekiness that makes us BRND WGN.

The Brief

BRND WGN Christmas gifts have become a staple that both clients and Wagoneers look forward to. At the end of such a year we wanted to acknowledge the rollercoaster 2020 was, while keeping that touch of positive cheekiness that makes us BRND WGN.For the first time ever, we also needed to find a way to craft the gifts as a team, just as we’ve always enjoyed doing – while respecting social distancing.

Limoncello.

Because, well.  How could we put a smile on our clients’ faces after such an eventful year? We decided to turn life’s lemons into limoncello, sending out a lighthearted message and giving clients a tasty way to celebrate the fact that we managed to make it through. ‘When life gives you lemons’ became our gift tagline, backed by a heartfelt ‘thank you’ note because we owe our clients so much, especially in 2020.  The taste.  We began with the thankful task of sourcing the right limoncello. After tasting a wide selection, we decided to support local, premium quality producers and went for the delicious organic limoncello made in the island of Gozo by food grower and agritourism Ta’ Mena. Then we picked a sleek bottle to truly show off the goodness of the product.  The look.  When it came to the limoncello labels, we stayed true to our DNA. We chose the BRND WGN pink and illustrated our iconic Rock hand, which squeezes juice out of a lemon. The tagline ‘When life gives you lemons’ comes across immediately while a quirky combination of elements makes the bottle stand out, such as a bold yet elegant typography, a gold foil treatment applied to the lemon juice, and the lemon shape cut out to show the limoncello.
