The VATS

The VATS is a unique co-working space located in the old Farsons brewery, a place that blends business, leisure, fitness, food, and craft beer culture into a vibrant community hub.

Our challenge was to develop a solid brand identity that captures the spirit of this dynamic space, highlighting its rich heritage and diverse facilities, while appealing to digital nomads, freelancers, and creatives seeking connection, inspiration, and a place to thrive.

It's not every day you brand a co-working space located at the site of a former beer brewery. So, for this project, we wanted to create an identity brimming with personality and character.

With the co-working areas already established and decorated, that meant working with what was already there. Our job was to build a brand that didn’t compete with the space but completed it. So we pulled the colour palette directly from the environment, using the vivid orange and deep blue already present to create a smooth, flowing identity that reflected what customers see and feel when they visit.

Taking inspirational cues from the history of the brewery, we developed a custom wordmark. Using the geometric, blocky shapes of the original fermentation vats, we gave the brand a unique, solid, architectural flavour that was modern yet grounded in heritage.

And we didn't stop there. We wanted personality, remember?
